Shifting Gears United Starting off the morning with a fabulous filled morning of aerobics & swimming with our team. So awesome to see Hannah, Kelli, it’s been a while. Thank you Lindsay for being so clutch and always there to help out, it takes a village and taking such good care of Monica.
It was a monumental moment and experience for Navy Veteran Estevan, SGU Freedom Team of Wounded Team®️ This young man spent one full year in Walter Reed hospital and five months in a coma. He couldn’t wait to get back in the water, it was truly an incredible experience to witness his first time swimming since his accident.
Emotional moment with so much excitement and unknowns.
This is one of those moments that will live in our hearts forever. Awesome job Estevan, so happy for you. Thank you Harry!!!! NPB Aquatics staff, thank you for being so supportive and helpful we love you all and coach Steve is the best.
The Freedom Coast Ride 2023 was held on Veterans Day November 11, 2023 to honor our American Veterans of all branches of service.
Hosted by Shifting Gears United, nearly 200 riders enjoyed a coastal ride from Dreher Park in West Palm Beach to Hobe Sound National Seashore Park in Hobe Sound, Florida. Riders had the option of either a 40 mile or 70 mile course.
After their return to Dreher Park, everyone was greeted with a picnic lunch and beverages, and the opportunity to make new friends and reestablish past relationships.

Shifting Gears United hosted 37 athletes in the 2023 Miami Marathon on Sunday, January 23, 2023. Athletes began arriving on Saturday and were treated to a Publix lunch (thanks Publix) and then an Olive Garden dinner (thanks SandyJames Productions) and made repairs and modifications to their gear and took warmup rides.
Sunday, RACE DAY, began at 2:45 am with a Miami Police escort to the race start, with a Gun Start in the dark at 5:55 am.
